Quick Start Guide

PLAIO is a supply chain planning platform for pharmaceutical manufacturing. It optimises operations and eases decisions across demand, supply, and production, generating feasible, transparent plans that balance real-world constraints.

The three modules

• Demand Planning — forecasts you can adjust based on business insight.
• Supply Planning — translates demand into inventory projections and replenishment plans.
• Production Planning — turns accepted production orders into optimised, realistic plans for the shop floor.

Each module reads from the same master data and feeds the next, so a change in one is visible immediately in the others.

Core principles

• Plans are calculated outputs based on your data and constraints.
• Exceptions highlight where plans deviate from targets, so you review by exception rather than line by line.
• All calculations are transparent and traceable — you can always open a cell and see what produced it.
• Changes update downstream impacts immediately.

Your first three actions

1. Review the Demand Planning view and adjust the Market forecast where your business insight differs from the system forecast. Click a cell to edit it.
2. Check the Supply Orders view and turn suggested orders into approved orders.
3. Find the red and yellow cells in the worksheet views to identify exceptions, and right-click to generate a follow-up task for whoever needs to act.
